Extension Cords Causing House Fires

Be careful when you purchase portable heaters, appliances or extension cords. You are building a circuit and it requires the right electrical wires, the right length for the right appliance or you run a risk of fire.

Last week there was a house fire that was caused by an extension cord, look at the video before to see what kind of damage it caused and to see a time-lapsed infrared video of how fast extension cords can heat up. Be careful and aware of electrical considerations at home to avoid possible problems. Keep your home safe for your pets when your not there. Some appliances are still on even though you turned the switch off.

The United Nations is reporting global warming to be the biggest threat to the world but the problem has been education of the world is blind to the temperatures discussed. Here is an example of what we missed in our calculators.

The next video was produced with images taken on August 15, 2010. Are we heating the atmosphere with new development being radiated by the same UV that burns our skin? Building codes tell us to reflect solar radiation or buildings and exposed ground will be "radiated".

United Nation's Members are looking for the source of global warming and basing economy of the world on policy that is literally blind to temperature. Education of the world considers temperature, we used calculators for building and energy demand. Buildings are signed off as compliant with building and energy codes without every being verified.

All the laws are there, we just couldn't see it before and the world is getting ready to spend 100s of billions on climate change without addressing the cause. Paint, shade, whitewash, low e materials could address the problem at the builder's expense, not yours. Los Angeles is reported to spend 100 million dollars a year in energy costs reacting to urban heat islands.

Advanced Thermography Used For the Early Detection of Breast Cancer!

It takes more than the purchase or rental of infrared equipment to achieve success. It requires the compliment of equipment, application and interpretation by qualified professionals. Even though there are lots of companies offering infrared equipment or training, Dr. Lynch is the only health professional lecturing medical education for education credits they need for licensing. His success required years of work and congratulations are in order, he achieved a unique level of academic recognition for his work.

On August 2nd 2010, thermography for the early detection of breast cancer was lectured for CE Credits for health professionals at the 2010 National Medical Association Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly in Orlando Florida.

Dr. Ronald Lynch, the Medical Director from The Integrative Medicine of Lake Mary did an amazing presentation showing "properly applied" infrared used in conjunction with breast exams and mammograms were 95% successful in the early detection of breast cancer. Dr. Lynch is a foremost authority with infrared technical support going back over 30 years. Visit his website for education and instruction for medical professionals so they can employ thermography in their clinical environment that will be recognized by medical peers.

The importance of this can't be overstated considering the environmental toxic load that women, men and children carry. In the Body Burden Study completed by The Environmental Working Group, there was a 100% toxicity ratio in newborns before they took their first breath.

In light of the years of work we completed on climate change, buildings exceeding their design temperatures and more toxins produced as a result, medical professionals need all the tools to see their objectives. This toxicity associated with emissions isn't being addressed and has a domino effect into health. The Gulf Oil Leak and the millions of gallons of poisons used to disperse the oil isn't being discussed for the health and environmental emergency it is. Infrared technology "applied properly" allows medical professionals to see temperature, physiological changes and assists their real objectives.

Wild Fire & Forest Fires

Global warming causing climate change complicates fire seasons because droughts contribute to fire severity. You can scroll down the blog and see how buildings are contributing to climate change.

A challenge for fire fighting professionals is smoke typically blinds them and inhibits their ability to fight fires. Imagine fire crews battling these blazes and not know what is coming at them. We trained our first fire department years 20 years ago in applying infrared applications to give fire fighters the ability to see through smoke.

California, British Columbia and other areas are expecting severe fire seasons because of climate change, unfortunately they will fight fires blind. Here is an image of a forest fire about to interface with a city and it couldn't be seen.

Wouldn't it be advantageous for fire behavioral specialists to see their objectives through smoke? We could track the direction before it arrives without changing command structure, we just provide tech support that gives them unobstructed sight. Cell Phone Radiation

When you get on an airplane, they tell you to turn off your cell phone as it may interfere with the communication of the aircraft. Is holding a radiating device next to our head interferring with the communication in our brain?

I use a wired headset and keep the phone away from me. Please be careful in purchasing radiation blockers, I have problems with some of their claims. Here is what cell radiation looked like after 1 hour on the phone, do you see any differences between sides of the head?

For people wearing a bluetooth device, are you getting radiated twice and is the phone in your pocket radiating you elsewhere?

What do all of the United Nation Members and global academia have in common in climate change discussion? 100% of them design with temperature but are literally blind, we calculate for it.

The big deal about any global warming is because heating the atmosphere contributes to climate change. That affects everything we do including economy and all life is sensitive to temperature.

It seems pretty simple that in order for there to be global warming there needs to be a source of heat? To avoid this with buildings we reflect solar radiation or buildings will be radiated. Look at how we did this spring.

Solar Radiation "Burning" Buildings

Everyone is familiar with sunburn and covering exposed skin to avoid sunburn. Sunburn is the result of high frequency wavelengths of the sun causing your skin to polarize at high speeds, like a subtle microwave we use in our home.

Buildings are designed and insulated for very specific temperature so as builders we are supposed to reflect solar radiation or the building will be "radiated". If the building is radiated, it will generate heat that exceeds design temperatures and they become urban heat islands.

You reflect solar radiation with paints, low-e materials or the shade from trees actually protects the building from being radiated. When you remove trees, your building or the exposed ground will be radiated. Radiated buildings will require more emissions and energy use as a response to buildings being "sunburned".

Here is a picture of a building at 6:11 A.M. just as the sun came up and the image on the right shows the same buildings at 10:07 A.M. It is 50 degrees F outside and the solar radiated building is over 140 degrees F at 10:00 A.M. In this instance the building is heating the atmosphere and contributing to climate change without emissions produced.

In the summer, we are responding to the symptoms with massive energy waste and more emissions without addressing the cause. Is your home using air conditioning because the solar exposed exterior is darker in color or lacking shade cover? Air conditioning is refrigeration, why would you open your refrigerator door to cool off your building? Paint or shade to protect your family, your environment and investment.

This last image is of a forestry cut block from the air. A cut block is an example of trees being harvested through forestry practices. Removing ground cover allows the area to be radiated with solar exposure. Is the heat extreme enough to affect germination or growth of new trees?

Oil Spill Help at Night

The oil leaks in the Gulf of Mexico are catastrophic and need help. Do they have the ability to see the oil, ships or clean up at night and give their command unobstructed sight? I haven't seen any imaging at night, does that leave them blind or severely limited?

TJ For President

Working on the environment is an uphill battle but help is coming from Central Florida with a young environmental activist named TJ. I met TJ when he was 8 years old and at that time his goal was to become President of the United States.

He is 10 years old this year and as much as he wants his grandparents to live with him in the Whitehouse, he reminds them if energy is wasted. He is a deep thinker and recently told his grandmother "What can I do, I'm only one boy". He asked his grandmother if Jesus is sad?

TJ is an inspiration to me and reminds me or my responsibility in representing the environment that sustains all life. We have to speak up for those that can't and recycle our waste. If we don't recycle it, our bodies will. If we can't recycle it, we shouldn't produce it.
