KELOWNA, BC – Solar radiation including the same UV that burns our skin is causing buildings to generate extreme heat the building isn’t designed, insulated or insured for says Curtis Bennett of Thermografix Consulting Corporation. Due to the fact the solar impact couldn’t be seen, we are reacting to the heat symptoms with ozone depletion, significant wasted electricity, more GHG emissions, toxic emissions, mercury emissions, acid rain, toxic newborns, etc and there is zero discussion about the extreme heat generated atmospherically. The extreme heat generated atmospherically is contributing to lower air pressure and is changing weather.

The reality is we are being cooked by the buildings we live in. The sun’s rays are baking the exterior of buildings and the heat is transferring inside where air conditioning is used to treat the indoor heat symptom. Air conditioning is in fact refrigeration being used to treat heat symptoms when the building exterior is the source of heat.

Bennett is reporting an unprecedented environmental emergency within existing law, it just couldn’t be seen before. People need to stop painting the exterior of their homes with dark absorbent colors, it changes the entire function of the building including fire integrity. It becomes another heat sink changing weather.
